Director for Economic Development, Teresa Jones, shared the following news release from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.    Lexington is one of eighteen recipients of a site development grant, to the amount of $350,100. The grant will be for the construction of a 100,000 square foot building pad, and extension of 850 linear feet of sewer line, at the Timberlake Industrial Site. Read More

 

 

   

 

When driving to the Interstate-40, or to Jackson, those Dollar General stores at Parkers Crossroads and on 412 West look just ready to open at any time.  But opening dates may still be a few months away.   Laura Somerville is with the communications office at Dollar General Stores in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.  When asked about the new stores she had this to say.     “We do have plans to open new stores located at 20660 Highway 22 North.  in Wildersville, and 5778 Highway 412 West, in Lexington.  Based on the initial construction timelines, I anticipate the stores will open by early to mid-summer.
